What is an RFE?
A Request for Evidence (RFE) is issued when an application or petition lacks the documentation or evidence needed for USCIS to make a decision on the immigration benefit requested. Essentially, it is a formal request for additional information to support your case.
When you receive an RFE (Request for Evidence), it means that USCIS needs more evidence before proceeding with your application or petition. This may include documents such as birth certificates, proof of lawful entry, or evidence of financial support. Responding accurately and on time to an RFE is crucial, as failure to do so may result in your application being denied.
An RFE is not the end of the world. There is a good chance that your case will be approved if the RFE is answered correctly.
